Secondary Section
    Our secondary section adopts multiple intelligences in education. As a part of the school curriculum, we have set up many elective courses, such as astronomy, biotechnology, machinery-technology, world history, commerce, Portuguese, music, integrated design, visual arts, drama, dancing, Business Writing etc., so as to let students choose and develop the subjects they like.
    For senior secondary classes, we have even established the first Vocational Music courses in Macau. Almost 100% of the first 8 years of graduating students have entered university, which is very encouraging. In terms of teaching and educational qualifications, our school adopts student-oriented and multiple intelligences methods in teaching; we also employ teachers with higher education, of which more than twenty have a master’s degree, and many consistently receive teaching prizes.
    In order to improve the English level, our school employs some foreign teachers who speak English as their mother tongue, hoping to foster a better English learning environment for the students.
    Our great results of education are approved by local and overseas colleges and universities; we even formed an alliance with Macao Polytechnic Institute, Tainan University of Technology and Xinghai Conservatory of Music in 2004 , 2011 and 2015 respectively. Our school is now the experimental station of Macao Polytechnic Institute Arts and Sports School, and we are also the partner School of some Universities and high schools overseas.
    International exchange programmes are also another characteristic of our school. We have many exchange programmes for the secondary students every year; one of these programmes is a two-week English exchange Trip to Australia. This exchange trip is subsidised by our School Education Fund, so it is free for students. We hope that through this exchange trip, students can improve their English ability, gain a lot of knowledge and experience more than they could learn from their textbooks, and open their eyes and minds to new cultures and ideas.

Music Vocational Course
    In the past years, our school has devoted to the educational reform with the beliefs of Christian and valued the wide range of talents of individuals. The arts education, one of the courses supported by the education bureau, has achieved successfully, which is introduced with the development of the society in these years in Macau.
    The music vocational course aims at developing talents on music to the future of Macau. Having completed the course, students can not only obtain the basic skills and knowledge learned in grammar schools, they also have an understanding of the musical courses: music theory and in developing musical ability through rhythm, ear training, and sight singing exercises and the skills of playing the musical instrument as well.
    Besides, our school has worked with Macao Polytechnic Institute since 2004 and the students graduated from our school can have an opportunity of further education in music career.

Primary Section
    Fun with learning” and “Innovative Teaching” are the goals for primary section. We have changed our traditional methodologies into more creative ways of teaching with the use of multi-media. We believe that it could reduce students’ stress in learning, motivate them to learn and most importantly, foster our students to be independent and active learners. Our teaching is knowledge-based oriented as well as aiming to assist students to develop their own characters and abilities through different innovative activities. We continuously develop and improve our own curriculum to nurture the moral, intellectual, physical, social, arts and spiritual domains of our students. In addition, we have cooperated with the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra Association. We offer primary one to primary six students in violin and cello courses. Each of them has their own musical instrument. Twice a week, they have a systemic training. A study has shown that learning music is good for kids’ auditory system. Through these auditory stimulations, it can stimulate their brain’s neuron which is beneficial for pupils’ critical thinking. Meanwhile, creativity will be enhanced and appreciation of pieces of music will be cultivated. Through this long-term learning process, determination, organization and problem-solving skills will be developed which are benefit them for life.
    Our school has also offered “Inclusive Education”, funded by education bureau, for our students. We employ some professionals, majored in special education, to help the special-need students with their learning. We assist them to cope with the mainstreaming learning atmospheres mentally and psychologically and improve their abilities.
    Our school is well-equipped with good learning facilities. A reconstruction has been done recently in order to have a spacious campus for our students. Besides the formal academic curriculum, we offer a range of extra-curricular programs for our students. There are courses like drama, choir, arts, violin, orchestra, various sports games and so on, for instance. Talks and workshops are held regularly so as to develop our students’ multiple intelligences and whole-person growth.

Kindergarten
    In the Kindergarten, the facilities in the new campus are novel. The teaching facilities are very well-equipped and the environment is comfortable. Besides traditional classrooms, there are also multi-functional integrated room, multimedia reading room, home economics room, bedroom, treatment room, outdoor playground and the Montessori classroom.
    Sponsored by the School Development Fund of education bureau, we are able to carry out the curriculum of moral education in Preschool. With improved teaching resources, we will continue to practice better teaching activities, strengthen the connotation of moral education and deepen the idea of life education.
    We build a very strong bond between parent, teacher and child. We teach children with love. The children are learning through activities in order to catch their interest in learning. We teach students to learn to live, deal with things, cherish life, love their family and school and be the children who care our community and motherland. We will continue to deepen the Christian Education in our kindergarten in order to make it a paradise with faith, hope and love.

Our Education Mission
    Macau Baptist College is run by the Macau Baptist Church and nurtures the new generation of Macau with faith, hope and love, since our school motto is based on the teachings of the Bible 1 Corinthians 13:13 ‘And now these remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’
    Our school adheres to Christian education philosophy. The education of ethics, intellectual, physics, social skills, aesthetic and spiritual nourishes the twenty-first century teenagers. We develop students into the educational concept of multiple intelligences instead of traditional intelligence-based model of education. In addition to general classroom learning, we organize diverse activities such as visiting, lectures, workshops, games, teamwork, association and overseas exchanges, so that students can learn spontaneously from their talents. Moreover, our school holds a concept of ‘Advantage-promoting Education’ rather than ‘the Conventional School Remedial Education’. We advocate the praise, recognition and appreciation of the performance of the students, so that they will build a healthy self-image.
